We support our member organisations through a range of services, including meeting rooms, training courses, learning materials and expert advice.
Meeting rooms
We provide meeting rooms for our member organisations free of charge at our offices in Vallila, Helsinki. All Fingo members can use the rooms to organise meetings, training sessions and small seminars from 4pm to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm during weekends and public holidays. Check out our different meeting rooms.
You can book a meeting room by using the reservation form or by emailing info@fingo.fi. In urgent cases you can also make a booking by calling us on 050 317 6690. Please note that our reception is closed on Fridays.
Please read through the user guidelines prior to arriving. You can pick up the key from our reception in advance. It is important to get your key in good time, especially if your booking is for a weekend, a public holiday or July.
Training courses
Fingo’s training courses allow you to develop necessary skills for building a more just and sustainable world. Topics range from development cooperation to global citizenship education, policy advocacy, communications and private sector partnerships.
Our training courses are provided by experts in the field, and the content is tailored for the needs of NGOs. Course methods are based on practice and participation. We learn together through group work and exercises as well as by sharing experiences, knowledge and skills with each other. Our courses also provide an excellent opportunity to network with other organisations.
You can participate in many of our courses virtually. We will inform you about virtual participation opportunities for each course. We also organise interesting webinars.
Check out our upcoming courses and sign up using the registration form.
Expert advice
Fingo’s seasoned experts can help you plan projects, evaluate outcomes and find new partners. We provide free advice on development cooperation, global citizenship education, development communications and funding.
You can book a free consulting session by emailing kehyneuvonta@fingo.fi for development projects or vgkneuvonta@fingo.fi for projects in communications and global citizenship education.
Support for private sector collaboration
The private sector plays a significant role in shaping global development, and therefore it is important to include businesses in our efforts to promote sustainable development and global justice. Fingo helps NGOs and businesses create new partnerships with each other and take advantage of new opportunities to reduce poverty and inequality. Attend our training courses on private sector collaboration or book a consulting session at kehyneuvonta@fingo.fi to find out more.
Learning materials
Develop your skills with our free learning materials, which provide information on policy advocacy, global citizenship education and development cooperation. You can find plenty of materials in English at the bottom of the page.
Propose a member initiative
Member initiatives allow us to listen to our members and give us information about the current trends among NGOs. By proposing an initiative, organisations can ask for concrete changes or express new ideas. Propose an initiative by filling in the proposition form.
